Drag racing, roll racing, skids, camping, kebabs and more will all form part of an epic two days of motorsport action that will see the fastest imports face off against some of the toughest domestic street cars ever seen in the one location.
Roll racing at the Motorplex!
That’s right, for the very first time, true US-style roll racing will take place at the Perth Motorplex. Starting from the staging lanes, cars will build up speed through the tunnel before spotting the green light and getting on the gas. First one to the other end wins!

Racewars isn’t just Australia’s Largest Runway Racing event. It’s a celebration of everything we love about Western Australia’s sensational grass roots car culture as much as it is about seeing some of the nations fastest and finest vehicles push their limits on the 1.8km Albany Airport runway.
We’ll never forget our roots. Racing has been and will always be at the heart of what Racewars is about. As Australia’s sole remaining 1000m Sprint and still the only event in the nation where you can race door to door against your mates over a rolling 1/4 mile & 1/2 mile Racewars serves as an opportunity for the fastest and finest to show Australia (and the world) how we do what we do out here in the West.
As passionate Petrolista’s and proud West Aussies our love of all things automotive and beyond drives us to look to constantly deliver not just a better car culture experience for attendees but a rewarding family friendly weekend away in one of the most idyllic destinations our great state has to offer.
Our partnership with the City of Albany opens up a plethora of opportunities for our attendees to not just enjoy our event but experience some of the finest things The Amazing South Coast has to offer.
